How ranking works

Paid chart

Your effective bid is the sum of your confirmed payments for a track. The highest effective bid is #1. Ties are broken in favour of whoever reached the amount first.

Raising your bid

You only pay the difference. If your effective bid is $80 and you want $120, you pay $40.

Only paid bids count

Positions change only after Stripe confirms payment. Creating a checkout session changes nothing. Payments are non-refundable if you are outbid.

People's Chart

A second, separate ranking driven by listener activity on OUTPLAY — opens, plays, outbound clicks and shares. It is never affected by money, and it never represents streams on any external service.
